G A M E I N F O
→ What exactly is Abundant Relations about?
It's a slice-of-life musebox game set in the Pokémon world; Hoenn, to be exact. It's a game that encourages players to come up with their own plots and play in a large sandbox.
→ What can my character do here?
There's an infinite amount of things to do in Hoenn! Each character is also placed in a class (chosen by you); the options are Trainer, Breeder, and Coordinator. Choose whichever one fits your character the most (or doesn't, if you want to torture them). You can find more info about the classes in their respective sections.
→ How does time pass in the game?
It's based on real life time, so one day in the real world is one day in the game.
→ Are characters allowed to travel to other regions, such as Kanto?
As of this moment, no. There are no trains, boats, or anything that will take them to the other regions. Even after your character obtains the Fly or Surf HM, their Pokémon still can't leave the region. If their trainer attempts them to venture forward, the Pokémon will suddenly refuse to go any further out of unexplained fear and will head right back to the nearest city, despite whatever your character tries to do.
→ Where does my character appear when they're first brought in and what happens?
The default location for Trainers, Breeders, and Coordinators will be in Littleroot Town. They will wake up anywhere within Littleroot Town, whether it's on the ground, in a tree, on the roof of a house, wherever. After waking up, their PokéNav will turn on and ask for personal information such as "are you a boy or a girl?" and a name to be inputted into the system. Afterwards, the PokéNav will say the following before turning itself off:
"Hello there, and welcome to Hoenn!
"I hope you like the outdoors because you're sure going to spend a lot of time here! You'll experience an adventure like never before and you'll make more friends than you can count, both Pokémon and human. So, newcomer, I have one question for you.
"Do you have what it takes to be the very best?"
→ What can my character bring in with them?
Anything that was on them before arriving in Hoenn, including any weapons that they might have had on them. However, pets are not allowed to be brought along with the characters, even if they might have been holding onto them.
→ What kind of Pokémon can my character start out with?
Any pre-evolved Pokémon from any generation is allowed, asides from the obvious legendaries.
→ What's the limit on how many Pokémon one character can have?
For everyone, the beginning limit is 26 Pokémon, including the ones they have in their party. Thankfully, there is a way to raise this limit. For trainers, they can raise the limit by defeating gym leaders and for each one they defeat, they get 10 more slots in their PC, with a maximum of 106 slots in total. Breeders and Coordinators can also raise this limit to the same total of 106 slots through either hatching 10 Pokémon eggs or earning a ribbon respectively.
→ Are Pokémon edible?
Absolutely. If characters really want to, they can absolutely eat wild Pokémon, though they'd have a very... peculiar taste to them and furthermore, eating Pokémon is greatly frowned upon in this world. If a disgruntled Officer Jenny sees you devouring one, they just might even try to arrest you, so be careful!
→ For shiny type Pokémon is it possible to catch one in the game?
Normally, no, but Breeders can breed shinies; look in the Breeders section for more details about that. However, there will be occasional events/swarms where characters will have a chance of catching a shiny Pokémon, so keep an eye out for those!
→ How about legendaries?
Not at all. Even if your character goes to the areas where a legendary might be, they will never see one. Legendaries will only be brought up through events.
→ Where is my character supposed to stay?
Other than camping out in the wilderness or staying in secret bases, characters can also stay in the hotels or inns in each town, or they can opt to rent a house if they plan on staying long term. It's very pricey in most places, though, so it's recommended to find housemates to split the rent with. If they manage to successfully pay the rent 12 months in a row, the house is theirs and they won't ever have to pay rent again! Isn't that neat? If they fail to pay the rent, however, they'll have to pay it the next month along with the rent due for that month, so basically they'll have to pay double. If they fail yet again after that, they'll be evicted from the house. That isn't fun for anyone, so try to keep up with the rent.
→ Wait, my character can have a secret base?
Of course! If your character has a Pokémon that can use the move Secret Power, they can make a secret base in one of the specified locations here with mod approval.
→ Is there a limit to how many decorations I can put in my secret base?
In the games, the limit was 16 decorations, but in Abundant Relations, there is no limit! You can shove as many decorations as you can fit in your base.
→ Is there a place where my character can get food or supplies that normally wouldn't be found in Poké Marts?
There sure is! Every town has a supermarket where they sell groceries, Pokémon food, over-the-counter medicine, camping supplies, and all that fun stuff! There are also fast food restaurants in every town for a quick, cheap meal, or you can enjoy a fine dining experience in the hotels and inns. Yes, every hotel and inn has a bar, as well, so your character can booze it up there, so long as they're 18 or older. In addition, the Lilycove Department Store also sells clothes, jewelry, electronics, video games, CDs, and DVDs.
→ How can money be earned here?
By multiple ways! They can get a job, battle trainers and win some, sell any eggs their Pokémon lay, set up shop, practically any way they can think of. Of course, there's also stealing but get caught and into jail for you.
→ What's jail like here?
You know those cartoon shows where every single jail cell looks damp, cold, have bar windows, dirty toilets, and is home to the meanest looking bikers? That's pretty much jail in Hoenn too. Your character will have to deal with sleeping on hard mattresses, have paper thin blankets, having gruel for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and so on. It's the last place anyone wants to end up in and the officers here will sure make you remember your awful experience so you never commit another crime again!
→ Speaking of jail, what's illegal in Hoenn?
A very good question! Here is a list of the crimes that you can commit in Hoenn and the punishments for getting caught doing such acts:
• Stealing: Jail time • Camping out in a town: Community service • Underage drinking (17 or under): Community service • Selling alcohol to/buying alcohol for a minor: Jail time • Property damage: Jail time, plus paying for all the damage • Physically assaulting someone (including with Pokémon): Jail time • Physically/emotionally abusing a Pokémon: Jail time
The first time your character is caught committing a crime, they will be sentenced to one week of community service/jail time. The next time they will serve a two week sentence, and so on. If your character commits a crime, report them here! Please note that the listed crimes aboves are only a few of the many felonies that a character can commit, so if your character does something that can seem illegal but it's not on the list, comment to the entry anyway and a mod will get back to you with the appropriate sentence.
→ Wait, community service?
You heard right. Get ready for your character to pick up trash, scrape gum off the school's tables, clean up graffiti, and be the city's personal slave! Take that, criminal!
→ How do characters communicate here?
There are two ways; the first being face-to-face and meeting each other in person; the second by using the PokéNav, which is given to everyone who wakes up in Hoenn. Thanks to the Devon Company, they have learned that networking is the new line of business so characters are more than free to post to this network and communicate to others in three different ways; audio, video, or text.
More info about the PokéNav and all of its other functions are found over here.
→ What happens if my character loses or breaks their PokéNav?
If they head to any PokéMart, they can get a free replacement that will automatically transfer their old data from the first PokéNav to this one. However, if your character breaks/loses this one, they'll have to pay for a brand new replacement! These things aren't cheap either (P5000), so do try to take good care of them.
→ What if my character says that they're a girl when they're actually a boy or vice versa?
Then the PokéNav will automatically assume that your character is the gender that they said they were. Nothing much changes, asides from titles (Mr, Ms, etc) and pronouns.
→ Is there a name that shows up with the character's post to the network?
There is! Whenever a character decides to open the newest video/audio/text post to the network, in the tiniest font beside it will have the name of the poster, unless the post has been posted anonymously then anonymous will show up instead of the name. It's actually quite easy to miss, but it's there nevertheless. Characters can choose to either see this or not.
→ Does the name have to be our character's name or can it be an alias?
It can be either. As soon the PokéNav is turned on for the first time, it will ask for their personal info. They can put in fake info, the PokéNav won't know and no one else will. Whatever name they put in will be the name that shows up on their text messages, emails, and posts to the network.
→ Can we switch this name?
You can, but it's a bit of a hassle. To change the name, you'll have to call the Devon Company, listen to the electronic voice slowly giving you all the options, press the button you want, be put on hold, speak to an actual person, confirm your identity, tell them about the new name, and finally get it over with. It's not fun at all.
→ Can the PokéNav make filtered posts and can they also make anonymous posts?
Yes, characters can make both filtered posts and anonymous posts on the PokéNav. There are options for those on the drop down menu of the post function on the PokéNav, so it's not hard to figure out at all.
→ What appears on my character's Trainer Card?
Their ID number, name, age, Hoenn arrival date, class, and number of badges.
→ My character doesn't want to be a trainer/breeder/whatever anymore. Can they switch classes?
They can, if you notify a mod about this change. You will also have to comment to the Taken page with your character's new class. You can change your character's class as many times as you want, but don't go overboard with it and try not to go beyond three changes.
ICly, your character can make this change by just contacting the Devon Company and informing them of this change to their Pokécard.
→ How does levelling up work here?
The only restriction on levelling is that your Pokémon cannot level up more than five levels per week. Other than that, you're free to train at your own pace, and it is not required to keep track of experience points.
→ Is it possible for characters to get sick here?
Unfortunately, yes, your character can still catch colds and flus and whatnot. They can get OTC meds from the supermarket in any town, or if they require prescription medicine, they can see a doctor in the Pokémon Center who will check them up and prescribe them medicine. Yes, they recently hired doctors and nurses that specialize in humans, so they can take good care of your character if they become sick or injured. The best part is, healthcare in Hoenn is completely free, just like it is for Pokémon! Isn't that wonderful?
→ Can characters die here?
In a way, yes. While characters cannot permanently die, they will go through the process of dying, such as bleeding out or falling deadly ill. Afterwards, characters will be placed in a comatose state for a minimum of a week and depending on the severity of their injuries when they died, they may wake up with the same injuries that killed them in the first place, but to a lesser extent.
→ What about language barriers between characters?
Upon arriving, your character will suddenly know the language of Hoenn. They're free to speak or write whatever other languages they know of, but to speak to the locals and make sure everyone understands them, it's probably best just to stick to the local language. Remember to stick an OOC note or something in your tags to indicate if they're speaking in another language.
→ Does this new language have a name?
Nope. If the characters ask the natives what language they're speaking in, they'll just look strangely at them. This language is simply just what it is. There is no name.
G E N E R A L I N F O
→ Do we have to know anything about Pokémon or Gen III to play here?
While it's recommended since it'll certainly help you, you don't have to know anything at all. In our navigation post, we have a long list of sites that provides many details about Pokémon and Hoenn to help you get through! You can also ask the mods for any help and we're more than willing to lend a hand to anyone, so don't hesitate!
→ How can I join this game of yours?
Due to being a private game, we're afraid that we can only accept people into Abundant Relations if they were invited by a player already in the game. Sorry about that. We also require a very simple application.
→ How do I invite people?
Simple; you just have to ask if they want to join the game and that's an invite!
→ Do we have to tell the mods about this invite?
You sure do. After you invite someone and they comment to the application page, just reply to their comment, confirming that you did invite them. The faster you reply to their comment and confirm this, the faster a mod can look over their application and give them an acceptance or not. If you don't reply, one of the mods will contact you to confirm this fact.
→ Are there any limitations of invites?
Because Abundant Relations is a musebox game, we want everyone to be comfortable within the game. If a player or a number of players already within the game is concerned with an invite and they have justifiable reasons for their concern, the mods may reserve the right to reject a player on that basis alone. However, these reasons must not be arbitrary and hold some merit. Hopefully, we will not run into such instances.
→ Are there periods when I can invite and when I can't?
At the moment, you are free to invite people whenever you like and those invited can join anytime as well. This may change in the future if the game gets too big. In addition, you must have been in the game for at least two months before you can invite people to join.
→ Is there a limit on how many people I can invite into the game?
Currently, the limit is set at two invites per player. This will increase as time goes on, but for now, we wish to keep the game at a decently small size.
→ When we're invited, can we claim only one character or more than one?
As soon as you're invited, you can claim up to four characters in your first comment to the claims page.
→ How many characters can we claim?
You may claim up to a maximum of four characters. This limit may change in the future, increasing or decreasing in accordance to how the game is running.
→ Can I claim multiple characters in a single series?
Yes, but with some exceptions. The characters must have had minimal interactions with one another and/or they must not have had an extensive amount of CR with each other. These characters cannot be dependant on each other, and if you don't mind hand waving any in-game CR with them, then you are free to claim multiple characters in a single series.
→ I'm already in the game and I want to claim another character. Do I have to get invited again to claim them?
Nope. Once you're already in the game, you can comment to the claim page whenever you want. For the invited field, just typed in something like "already in the game!" with a journal that's linked to the game, then you're done.
→ What kind of characters can I play here?
We allow all kinds of characters in Abundant Relations except for gameverse Hoenn characters, doubles, OCs, fandom AUs, and actual people/celebrities. You can, however, play specialverse and animeverse Hoenn characters here. The reason why we can't allow gameverse Hoenn characters is because they will be used as NPCs, as the setting is inspired by the games. We also allow canon AUs, such as Link from Twilight Princess and Link from Ocarina of Time, or the TYE and TYL versions of characters from Katekyo Hitman Reborn. If you're not sure what counts as a canon AU, ask one of the mods before commenting to the taken page.
→ What is this "simple" application that you mentioned before?
Because Abundant Relations is more a private musebox-type kind of game, our applications do not require a personality section. We do, however, require one sample thread of whatever character you wish to play, along with a simple Wiki page for history/personality. This thread must be within the last six months and must have a minimum of 5 comments from you. Of course, you can go over the minimum amount if needed, but we require 5 comments at the very least.
→ Can we bring previous game history?
Yes, you may. All we ask is that you provide us with some information on whether or not any aspects of your character have changed within the previous game.
→ How can we contact the mods?
The contact info for each mod is located right on the mod account's profile page so you can contact either one that way. You can also PM the mod account or any of their characters' accounts, or you can even email our mod email which is aquatrumpets@gmail.com. We'll try to get back to you asap.
→ Do we have to tag our posts in the comm?
Yes, you will have to tag your character's name in every post that you make, along with every post that you comment in. It's just for organization's sake and it'll make everyone's lives a lot easier when searching for threads.
→ What are the different comms?
The main comm is abundant_relations, which is where all IC network/action posts go. All posts in this comm must be written in first person style.
The logs comm is abundant_logs, where all third person action posts go. Please be sure to post using the template on the profile, as well.
The OOC comm is abundant_ooc, where all OOC intros, drops, hiatuses, and mod announcements go. You can also use this community to make announcements for player plots and egg sale posts and whatnot.
The meme comm is landtubas, where all of our monthly CR memes and other similar posts will take place.
→ Will there be the occasional plot and if so, what can we expect?
There will indeed be the occasional plot now and then (we will aim at the rate of one per month) and they will range from all different kind of genres, from horror to action. It mainly depends on the time of the year on what kind of event we'll hold but there will certainly be some that don't fit any normal tradition. We will announce every one of these plots and events on the OOC comm and plurk so make sure to keep an eye out there for one.
→ Are plots only run by the mods?
Players are more than welcome to suggest their own gamewide plots and events, so no, not really. Players can bring up their suggestions to either of the mods through the many different ways of communication or just comment to the suggestion page. As this is primarily a slice-of-life game, players are also encouraged to run their own plots when there aren't any events going on, as well. However, if it's something that would affect a large group of people, you must discuss it with the mods first.
→ Can we canon update and if so, how is it handled?
Canon updating is completely allowed in Abundant Relations so go right for it. OOCly, please make sure to comment to the taken page with your character's info and the new canon point you're taking them from. ICly, we leave this to your choosing. You can choose to have them suddenly awake with their new memories, disappear from the game for a short while and return, pass out into a coma, etc. However, canon updates must get mod approval first so don't forget to contact one of them first.
→ Is there an activity check here?
No activity check at all. Just a quick monthly check-in to let us know that you're still around. This check-in will be posted in the OOC comm on the first of each month. Everyone will have one week to reply to the check-in or their characters will be dropped, so if you're going to be away during this time period, check in with one of the mods ahead of time to ensure that your characters won't be dropped.
However, we do hold the right to speak to you if we see that you are not doing anything with your characters. Our rule of thumb is that you should be doing at least one thing with them a month. In fact, if we see that you are active within the game, there are extra benefits, such as the ability to take on extra characters past the limit, rare Pokémon, and such on. A list of these benefits will be provided at a later date.
→ How does a hiatus work here?
It's very simple: just comment to the hiatus page and follow the directions there. You do not have to leave a post in the OOC comm regarding your hiatus, but it is always a nice gesture to do so for your fellow players.
→ Something has come up and I have to be on hiatus for a long time. What's the longest time I can be on hiatus and what can I do ICly?
The longest someone can go on a hiatus is a month and an half. If it's anything longer, you will have to directly contact one of the mods and discuss it with them.
ICly, if you feel that you can't handwave your character during this long period of time, we can give you two other options. The first one is putting your character into a long coma during the time you're away. The second one is by actually taking them out of the game, but not necessarily dropping them. They'll just suddenly disappear and it'll seem like they left the world, but once you return, they'll act like they were never gone. If you decide to choose one of these choices, you will have to mention it to the mods beforehand and get it approved.
→ How are drops handled here?
OOCly, just by commenting to the drop page or failing to reply to the check-in, but ICly, it's a bit more different. Character will suddenly disappear once they're out of sight, and in the following morning, the character's ID will be taken off the network and others will only get an error message when trying to call it.
→ Is 18+ content allowed here?
If you would like to play out sexual encounters, really bloody/gorey scenery, or other potentially NSFW content, please move the thread into a personal post in your journal. We are a-okay with this sort of thing happening, but in the interests of everyone we don't want someone stumbling upon something they don't want to see.
→ Is there a HMD (How's My Driving) that goes on here and if so, is it mandatory?
There will be a monthly HMD in the OOC comm on the 1st of every month, right after the check-in. It is not required to participate, but it is greatly encouraged. After all, everyone has room for improvement.
→ How do you feel about Fourth Walling?
Besides the Fourth Walling of the other generations of Pokémon games, we would like to keep it to a minimum, but this is something up to the players and you need to discuss with your fellow players. If you're playing someone like, for example, Scott Pilgrim who has a vast amount of knowledge on video games and the characters in them, it might be best to set up a permission post, asking if he can break the Fourth Wall and acknowledge them as fictional characters.
If we notice a large amount of Fourth Wall breaking that makes a lot of players uneasy, we might change this to keep Fourth Walling to the utmost minimum.
→ Are there any power caps?
Yes, but only to a certain limit. Characters may still be able to read minds or fly, but there will be a limit placed on them, in order to prevent any game breaking situations. For example, a character can retain their flying ability but can only fly for a few minutes at a time. This is done on a case-by-case basis, and the mods will contact players regarding these limitations.
→ What if my character's not human? What happens then?
Characters can remain in their regular form, but if they are larger than what is physically possible for a human being, they will be shrinked down to an average human size.
→ What if they're dead in their canon?
They will be revived, almost as if they never died at all. There may be remnants or marks from how they died (such as gunshot scars) and ghost type Pokémon might seem strangely attracted to them, though.
→ How about characters that are extremely ill and need life saving equipment/can't be cured?
This will be left up to the player's discretion. Players will be allowed to choose what sort of state their characters will be in, whether they are fully healed/cured or if they are still suffering from whatever illness they have. Characters can also have their illnesses come and go, so as long as it seems reasonable, it's completely up to you.
→ What about blind/stuck in a wheelchair/handicapped characters?
Now, again, this is up to you. You decide if you want them completely cured or keep them in the condition they are. If you decide to keep them handicapped, they will have the equipment they need to perform daily activities, such as a walking stick, a wheelchair, braille handbooks, etc.
→ I have a new/better account for my character, so can I switch? Or can I use multiple accounts?
You are more than welcome to use multiple accounts for your character; just be sure to include them when you comment to the taken list and for posting, try to just post with one account. Or if you would like to use a new journal for your character, just comment to the taken list with the new journal and we'll update it as soon as we can.
→ If I rejoin with a character I previously dropped, can they have their previous memories of the game? Or if I want them to start fresh, is that okay as well?
It's up to you whether you want your character to retain their previous memories of the game or not. Just be sure to include this in your OOC re-intro so your character's old CR know what to expect.
→ If I play a Pokémon character, will they be able to use their regular team here?
Not exactly! Characters from the Pokémon series will have their normal party sealed in their PC when they first arrive to Hoenn. They'll only be met with an error message if they try to withdraw them. As stated in the message, in order to be able to withdraw their party, they have to, depending on their class, earn all eight Gym badges (Trainers), earn a Master Rank ribbon (Coordinators), or hatch a Shiny Pokémon (Breeders). We understand that some characters may be especially attached to their Pokémon, though, so if this is the case, then they can get one of their beloved Pokémon back as a pre-evolved starter with their memories intact, no matter what generation they're from. This is to encourage Pokémon characters to branch out more and try using a new team for a while, as well as prevent them from having an unfair advantage over panfandom characters!
Also, for protagonists that don't have set teams, please keep in mind that legendaries and Shinies are not permitted to be in their party.
→ What about characters with prior knowledge of Pokémon? How is that going to be handled?
Any character's knowledge of Pokémon, whether it's the games, the manga, or the show, is limited to everything but the third generation. For some reason back in the real world, there were rumors and teasers of a Pokémon world focusing on both land and water, where two teams would always be in conflict with one another, but it has never seen the light of day. Instead, the series jumped straight from Johto to Sinnoh, and this mysterious game never made it past speculations.
However, this obviously does not apply to Pokémon characters; they get to retain all of their knowledge, so this is the only advantage that they have over panfandom characters.
→ What are these stat pages and why do I have to keep them updated?
All the info you need about stat pages are over here, along with the reason why, but to sum it up, status pages are pretty much exactly what they're called; status pages for your character. It will contain all the info about their Pokémon team, their class, money, location, occupation, etc. It must be updated so we can approve of things such as gym challenges or contests, also to make sure that you're good to go.
We understand that it'll be difficult to keep up but do try your best and update it somewhat regularly.
→ Do I have to make these pages look all nice and fancy? I'm not good with HTML so can they just be text?
Of course, text it just fine. It doesn't even have to have any images. As long as it's legible, updated, and have all the info that we need, then it's a-ok.
T R A I N E R S
→ Are there any benefits to becoming a Trainer?
There sure are! First off, Trainers earn twice the normal amount of money from defeating Gym Leaders and other Trainers. They also receive a 20% discount on balls and items that raise stats, such as Protein, X Speed, etc. in all Poké Marts.
→ Okay, there has to be a catch, so what are the disadvantages?
The first catch is that, like in the games, Trainers will have to collect Gym Badges to use HMs. Even if they just buy a HM or borrow it from someone, they still can't use it until they have the proper Gym Badges that allow them to.
→ My trainer is ready to take on a Gym! How will this work out?
First, take a look at the the page with all the Gym Leaders. It will include a list of their team and their levels. If you think that your character can defeat one of them, fill out the given form and comment on that entry. One of the mods will take a look at it and see if your team is strong enough to succeed. To earn a badge, you must get mod approval, so don't forget. This is a very important step.
B R E E D E R S
→ Are there any benefits to becoming a Breeder?
Of course! Breeders can breed more eggs per month than the other classes, and they are the only ones who can hatch Shiny Pokémon from eggs. This is the only way to obtain Shiny Pokémon in the game, other than from occasional events, so this is a very valuable advantage! Also, they are not required to get badges to use HMs! All they have to do is buy it and bam, they can use it right away.
→ What's the monthly limit for eggs?
The egg limit is determined by egg cycles; the higher the number of cycles, the rarer the Pokémon is and the less eggs are available per month. The below table will show how many eggs per month for each cycle are permitted, as well as how long it will take for them to hatch. [Brackets] indicate the limit for the other classes.
Egg cycles | Eggs per month | Time to hatch |
5 | 10-12 [5-6] | 2-3 days |
10 | 8-10 [4-5] | 4-5 days |
15 | 6-8 [3-4] | 4-5 days |
20 | 5-6 [2-3] | 7-8 days |
25 | 4-5 [2-3] | 10-12 days |
30 | 3-4 [2] | 12-14 days |
35 | 2-3 [2] | 14-16 days |
40 | 1-2 [1] | 18-21 days |
To find out what each Pokémon's egg cycle is, click here. The mother's egg cycle beats the father's egg cycle, and in Ditto mating, the non-Ditto's egg cycle does.
→ What are the odds of hatching a Shiny Pokémon?
The odds in the games are 1/8192, but here in Abundant Relations, the odds are halved; 1/4096! To determine if the egg(s) you made contains a Shiny Pokémon, take your list of eggs over here and we will generate a random number from 1 to 4096 for each egg. If the number 1 is generated, then congratulations, you've got yourself a Shiny Pokémon!
→ Will mating a Shiny Pokémon increase the odds of hatching one?
It will, actually! If there's one Shiny parent, the odds will increase to 1/2048, and if there are two Shiny parents, the odds will increase to 1/1024! Pretty sweet, huh? Keep in mind that this only applies to Breeders, though.
→ Can my character's Pokémon breed with another character's Pokémon?
They can! If one of the Pokémon involved belongs to a Breeder, then that couple will be eligible to produce a Shiny Pokémon.
→ Are egg moves a thing in Abundant Relations?
Of course! If the father knows any moves that the baby can inherit, then it will be born with those moves. All TM and HM moves that the baby can learn will also be inherited from the father if they know them. If both the mother and the father know a move that the baby can learn by leveling up, it will be born already knowing that move. To see which egg moves a baby can learn, check their PokéDex entry on Serebii.
→ What level will the baby Pokémon be born at?
All Pokémon are born at level 1.

→ Are there any advantages to becoming a Coordinator?
Well, for one thing, Coordinators don't have to pay to enter contests, while everyone else does. All they have to do is show their Contest Pass and bam, free entry! And like Breeders, they also don't need badges to use HM moves outside of battle.
→ How can I earn ribbons?
It's similar to earning gym badges for trainers. Please contact the mods with the Pokémon that you wish to enter into a contest and depending on your Pokémon's conditions, you may or may not be approved to earn that ribbon. More information concerning how to earn ribbons and what is needed to increase your chances of winning will be added in the near future.
→ Regarding conditions, how do you raise it?
You can raise your Pokémon's condition by feeding them PokéBlocks, which are made from berries. Each Contest Hall has blenders where you can make as many PokéBlocks as your heart desires and store them in your PokéBlock Case. All Coordinators start out with a PokéBlock Case, but everyone else has to purchase theirs from the Hyper Rank Contest Hall in Slateport. Each PokéBlock also has a Sheen level, which determines how "full" your Pokémon is. Pokémon can only eat one Pokéblock a week (any more than that might give it a really bad tummyache), and once its Sheen hits 255, its condition won't improve anymore.
Here is a list of the different types of PokéBlocks and the base points that they will award to each stat. Keep in mind, however, there are two other factors that affect how many points you get from a PokéBlock (Sheen remains unchanged); where it was made and your Pokémon's preference.
→ What happens if my character feeds their Pokémon a PokéBlock they love or hate?
The points that a PokéBlock gives can change depending on the Pokémon's taste. If a Pokémon likes the particular flavour that a PokéBlock gives, then the points are multiplied by 1.2. If they dislike the flavour, then the points are multiplied by 0.8. These multiplications are done after taking into consideration of the location and preference factors of PokéBlocks.
→ What are 'location and preference factors'?
Some Concert Halls have better blenders than others, which can increase the intensity of the flavours by a certain degree. This could mean that if your Pokémon will either enjoy or hate certain PokéBlocks even more, which will affect the points that they will gain.
For example, if a Pokémon hates eating spicy PokéBlocks and the PokéBlock was created in Verdanturf, the total amount of points that block would give would decrease by two. If it was created in Lilycove, then the total amount of points would decrease by 15.

→ Wait a minute, a question I have isn't here!
If your question isn't anywhere on this list, then feel free to comment on this entry and one of the mods will get to you asap.
→ How can we contact the mods?
You can use the mod contact post, private plurk aquatrumpets, or email us at aquatrumpets@gmail.com! Additionally, if you have further general questions, you can also ask them below.
→ Is there anything else I should know?
Yeah, one more thing - everywhere you go, you'll be followed by background music. Just like in the games, every route, town and city will have its own themesong playing from seemingly nowhere. Furthermore, every time you enter a battle, the music will change! Characters can have their own battle theme, so choose accordingly. Make it a good one.
