BERRIES
  B E R R I E S On almost every route, if there's a patch of grass and dirt, there will most likely be a tree full of berries. There are many different kinds of berries, each one with their own unique taste. They're the primary food for Pokémon in the wild and can be considered a delicious treat for captured Pokémon who are just used to eating dry packaged food. Berries are also very useful for making PokéBlocks, colourful candy that are often given to Pokémon increase one or more of their five attributes (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart, or Tough) to aid them in Pokémon Contests. These berry blenders can be found in every Contest Hall located throughout Hoenn. Anyone is free to use them for no charge, whether they're coordinators or not. After all, PokéBlocks don't always have to be given for contests, they can be given as treats to good behaving Pokémon. Berries are also edible to humans, but they won't find them very appealing. Every single one of them will taste like wax, like you're eating a candle. Thankfully, no awful side effects, but let's leave the strange looking berries to the Pokémon, shall we? |
